Kayla A. Haynes was born and raised in Spring, Texas. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences from Texas A&M University before obtaining her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston.
Before attending law school, Kayla interned with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, where she developed a strong foundation in litigation and public service. While at South Texas, she was awarded the Dean’s Merit Scholarship and received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for earning the highest grade in her Legal Research & Writing I course. Kayla also held the position of Associate Editor for the South Texas Law Review.
In addition, she served as a student attorney for the Domestic Violence Pro Bono Legal Clinic, providing legal assistance to survivors of domestic abuse. During her second year of law school, Kayla joined Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Agosto, Aziz & Stogner as a law clerk, where she gained hands-on experience in personal injury litigation. Following graduation, she continued with the firm as a contract attorney, further strengthening her skills and knowledge in complex injury cases.
At Abraham Watkins, Kayla’s practice focuses on personal injury litigation, including automobile accidents, workplace injuries, explosions, products liability, and wrongful death. She is licensed to practice law in Texas and is admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Kayla remains committed to pursuing justice and advocating tirelessly on behalf of her clients.
