Two Dead, One Injured After Car Crash in Bexar County

On Tuesday, November 5, just before 3:00 p.m., deputies responded to a fatal car accident involving three vehicles near the 27200 block of Interstate 10 West in Bexar County. According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred when a woman driving a gray Hyundai Genesis G80 struck a red Ford F-150 and a white Chevrolet Silverado parked on the shoulder. The woman was traveling northbound on the access road when her vehicle hit the parked trucks from behind.

Officials report that three men were loading the F-150 onto a small trailer attached to the Silverado at the time of the collision. The Hyundai Genesis struck the F-150 directly, causing a devastating impact.

Tragically, the front passenger of the Silverado was pronounced dead at the scene, and his brother, who was driving the Silverado, was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital. The driver of the F-150 suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Bystanders assisted the woman out of the Genesis, and she was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Investigators noted that the woman driving the Genesis showed no signs of braking before the collision. They also reported finding open alcohol containers in her vehicle. As a result of the crash, she was charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
