
The family of a woman who was killed in a collision involving a vehicle that was being test-driven has filed a lawsuit. Quma Martinez Carrillo, 47, was killed after her Honda Accord collided with a 2021 Dodge Challenger. The Dodge was being test-driven by Benjamin Kyle Meece. It is alleged that Mr. Meece was driving over 120 miles per hour. Ms. Carrillo was ejected from her vehicle during the collision. After the crash, Mr. Meece ran to a home nearby and hid under a sheet of plywood. However, police were able to find him and he was placed under arrest.
Ms. Carrillo’s family have sued Mr. Meece, the salesman who was a passenger in the Dodge that was being test-driven, and All American Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Odessa; they seek to recover damages including court costs, funeral costs, loss of income, loss of companionship, and mental anguish.
