On January 10, 2025, at 11:30 am a heartbreaking rollover crash on US 77 resulted in the tragic loss of three lives and left one person in critical condition. According to reports, the driver of the SUV swerved into another lane, then lost control and entered the grassy median. In an attempt to regain control, the driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to spin sideways across the road before rolling onto its side.

At the time of the accident, all four passengers were ejected from the vehicle. It is reported that the driver of the SUV and her passengers were not wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
